Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your use of MagineBook at maginebook.com. Placing an order means you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What MagineBook is

MagineBook is an online service that generates personalized children's books using artificial intelligence. You provide a few details about the child (name, age, interests, and optionally a photo), and we produce a 20-page illustrated story delivered as a digital PDF, with an optional audio narration and an optional premium hardcover edition.

Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. The service is intended for parents, guardians, family members, and adult gift-buyers. Children may enjoy the finished books, of course — but orders, uploads, and payments must be completed by an adult.

No accounts required

MagineBook does not require a user account. Orders are tied to the email address you provide at checkout. That email is how we send your preview, download link, and shipping updates. Keep it accessible; losing access to the email can complicate support.

About AI-generated content

Stories, illustrations, and optional audio narration are produced by artificial-intelligence systems. AI output varies — a character's face may shift slightly between pages, an illustration style may surprise you, or a sentence may not land perfectly. We apply editorial guardrails and regenerate failed pages automatically, but we cannot guarantee that any specific creative choice matches your expectations exactly. Minor stylistic variation is part of how generative AI works and is not considered a defect.

Photo uploads and consent

If you upload a photo to personalize illustrations, you confirm that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child depicted, or you have explicit permission from the guardian.
• The photo does not depict anyone other than the intended child (no real people added without consent).
• The photo is not sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate.

We process the photo as described in our Privacy Policy and delete it 30 days after your order completes.

Your rights in the book

Once your order is paid and delivered, you receive a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to the finished book — including the PDF, any audio narration, and the printed hardcover. You can read it, gift it to the child, print it for personal use, and share it privately within your household.

You may not resell the book, republish it publicly, use it in commercial products, feed it into other AI training pipelines, or claim authorship of the underlying generation. MagineBook retains all rights in the underlying software, prompts, templates, and platform. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the AI models or our generation system to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use MagineBook to:

• Create content depicting real people (celebrities, public figures, neighbors) without their consent.
• Generate sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise harmful content.
• Impersonate someone, harass, or defame.
• Resell generated books or offer MagineBook outputs as your own paid service.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our APIs.

We may refuse or cancel an order that violates these rules and will refund any payment for a cancelled submission.

Pricing and payment

Current pricing: $19 for the digital PDF, $49 for the digital-plus-hardcover bundle, +$9 for audio narration, and +$30 to add a hardcover after you have already purchased the digital edition. Payment is processed by our payment processor. Prices may change; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order. Applicable taxes and shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Service availability

We aim to keep MagineBook online around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Book generation depends on third-party AI providers; if one provider has an outage, we queue and retry. If generation ultimately fails, we refund automatically.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms, abuses the service, or attempts to harm other users. You can stop using MagineBook at any time by simply not placing new orders.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagineBook's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to MagineBook's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be raised with us at [email protected]. If we cannot resolve the issue informally within 30 days, disputes will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction at MagineBook's registered location, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law grants you additional forum rights.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify customers with active orders. Using the service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
