Disclaimer

This page collects the practical caveats about MagineBook in one place. None of this is meant to scare you off — it is meant to set honest expectations about what an AI-powered storybook service is and is not.

MagineBook is AI-generated
Stories, illustrations, and optional audio narration are created with the help of several artificial-intelligence systems. That means:
- Output varies run-to-run. Two orders with the same prompt will not produce identical books.
- A character's face or outfit may shift subtly between pages. Our system tries hard to keep characters consistent, but perfect frame-to-frame continuity is not something current image models guarantee.
- Text may occasionally contain phrasing that reads a bit unusual, or an illustration may include odd details. Our editorial validator catches most of this, but not all.
In short: MagineBook books are delightful and custom-made, but they are not hand-crafted by a human author and illustrator, and they should not be judged against that standard.
A complement, not a replacement
We love traditional children's books. MagineBook is not a replacement for them. We make personalised, made-to-order stories that put your child at the centre — something a traditional book cannot do. Read both. Read widely. A child's bookshelf is always better with many kinds of stories on it.
Not professional advice
MagineBook books are entertainment. They are not:
- Medical or psychological advice. If your child is dealing with grief, anxiety, neurodivergence, or any health concern, please speak with a qualified professional. A personalised story can comfort, but it cannot diagnose or treat.
- Educational curriculum. Our books may include letters, numbers, or concepts, but they are not a substitute for a school reading programme, speech therapy, or any formal educational plan.
- Parenting guidance. Themes are chosen for warmth and age-appropriateness, not because we are experts in your family.
Third-party service dependencies
MagineBook depends on a handful of specialist partners for AI generation, payments, storage, email, and printing. If one of these providers has an outage, the corresponding feature can slow down or pause. We design around outages with retries and fallbacks , and if a book ultimately cannot be generated, we refund automatically as described in our Refund Policy.
Service availability and limitations
We aim for near-continuous availability, but we do not promise zero downtime. Scheduled maintenance, third-party incidents, and unexpected bugs will happen. Generation times also fluctuate depending on provider load — most books finish in a few minutes, but some take longer, especially when hardcovers are queued for print.
Accuracy
We do our best to keep every page of maginebook.com — including pricing, shipping estimates, and feature descriptions — accurate and up to date. Occasionally errors slip through. The authoritative price and details for your order are what you see at checkout.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagineBook's liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid for the affected order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including disappointment with an AI-generated creative choice, emotional impact of a story theme, or any use of a book beyond its intended purpose as personalised entertainment. Nothing in this disclaimer limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
