A Personalized Children's Book for Nova

The name Nova — Nova lands like a small explosion of light. Two syllables, wide-open vowels — and suddenly you're picturing something vast: a star blazing brighter than it has ever burned before. That's the astronomical meaning, and it maps exactly onto the Latin root the name comes from: "new." Parents in the 2020s were onto something real when they started choosing it; Nova climbed into the US top 40 because it manages to feel ancient and completely of-the-moment at the same time.

In a bedtime read-aloud, the name does something useful — it stops a listener. Short enough that a tired parent never stumbles on it, vivid enough that a child sits right up when it rings out on the page. A girl or boy named Nova already carries a story promise inside the name: something is beginning, something bright and brand new. Thread their photo, their age, and their favorite things through fifteen illustrated scenes, and that promise becomes a whole book built around exactly who they are.
